At the HBA, we are committed to advocating for our members at every level—nationally, statewide, and locally. Our efforts ensure that the voices of those in the housing industry are heard and represented, protecting and promoting the interests of our members in a constantly evolving political and regulatory environment.

National Advocacy through NAHB

As the leading voice for the housing industry, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) tackles a wide range of issues that impact home building across the country. One of their key initiatives is improving Housing Affordability, a critical concern for both builders and homebuyers alike. State Advocacy through OHBA

On a state level, the Ohio Home Builders Association (OHBA) is actively involved in shaping legislation and state policies that affect the residential building industry. OHBA advocates on crucial matters such as wetlands preservation, affordable housing, workers' compensation, and other significant issues that impact our members. Their proactive approach ensures that the interests of builders and developers in Ohio are well-represented and protected.

Local Advocacy with Our HBA Chapter

Locally, the HBA ensures that our members are informed and engaged with the ever-changing political and regulatory landscape. We contract with a dedicated government affairs liaison who closely monitors local developments, allowing us to respond swiftly and effectively to any changes that could impact our members.
